Mens Health 3 March 2014

Mens Health 3 March 2014 2 Mens Health 3 March 2014 3

Bismarck du Plessis is on his 2nd Men’s Health South Africa cover, once again with a 3-way split cover (same as with the September 2011 issue). Filling the spots of the other 2 Men’s Health covers, are Bulls rugby player Jan Serfontein and Stormers rugby player Siya Kolisi.

It’s interesting to note that with the September 2011 issue of Men’s Health, they used the bold cover line “Build this Body” with each of the issues (see below).

And if you look on the new March 2014 covers, you’ll spot the same line being use, just much much smaller. But it’s there. It is 3 years later, and no one would remember or care, but MediaSlut spots everything (or at least, I try to 🙂 ).

FYI: If you’re a Jan, Siya or Bismarck fan, you might be dissapointed if you go out to buy a copy with your favourite player on. The reason why I say this, is because Men’s Health has done something quite unique and pushed certain covers into certain regions within South Africa. Regions where the specific rugby player and the team he plays for, might be more popular. I think it’s very smart, but at the same time a pity if you’re a Siya fan, but can’t buy his cover in Gauteng…

So here’s the split:

  • Bulls fans will find Jan Serfontein in Gauteng and in the North.
  • Sharks fans will find Bismarck du Plessis in KZN and in the Free State.
  • And fans of Siya Kolisi and the Stormers will find his cover in the Western and Eastern Cape.

Here is Bismarcks’ previous Men’s Health South Africa cover… You can view all his covers right here.
